When renovating a kitchen, be sure to perform a good deep clean before applying any paint. The walls are probably covered with at least a thin layer of grease. This grease will make it difficult for the new paint to stick. It is also possible that your kitchen walls don’t need paint at all and are just dirty with grease!
Your kitchen is an excellent place to begin your home improvement projects. Start with the walls; if there are grease stains, mix up a 2 to 1 solution of TSP and water. It will get rid of the grease and also remove much of the paint. Re-paint the kitchen in tan colors; you will be amazed at how much different your room will look as soon as you are done.
